Overview

Hopespring is a charity working throughout Tyne and Wear that seeks to serve the various physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the region. With a highly committed team of trained staff and full time volunteers, we provide support and care for some of the most vulnerable people in society through our people-based interventions. We have various full time projects that seek to bring interventions wherever they are needed the most.

Achieved to date

Our latest project, which opened in March 2018, provides a home and 24/7 support for 6 young women and their babies, some of whom are emerging from the care system. This gives mums the opportunity to bond with their babies  and hopefully break the cycle of care.

Why we do this

With a highly committed team of trained staff and full time volunteers, we provide support and care for some of the most vulnerable people in society through our people-based interventions.

Future Plans

We are working with local authorities in the region to expand our schools and further our supported living accommodation including an Ofsted registered residential family centre.

green pastures review

Sometimes God gives us favour with the authorities. This is never an overnight thing and has to be earnt. Lois and Ken Gott of Bethshan Church through their tireless dedication to those in need have demonstrated that this and so it comes as no surprise that their Council asked them to help out housing mothers in need and their babies. GP have bought them a house specifically for this purpose. This has been an amazing success and we are so pleased to be able to providing support in yet another new area for GP. This is now run fully by 'Hopespring'. We have also supported the church by buying them houses for their interns to live in. Many people have been through the houses and out into becoming fully formed Christian leaders.
