We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated support worker to join our team which accommodates homeless men in the Derby area. If you want to put your gifts and passion towards something truly meaningful, this is the role for you!

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  1. To oversee and deliver the 10 Hour Plus programme which will involve identifying and developing a diverse range of learning activities, in house or through partnership. This will involve the monitoring and oversight of the resident’s participation on the programme, the identification of their educational needs along with Pastoral support. As well as any other identified support that may arise.
  2. To help facilitate the enhancement of the spiritual, mental and physical well-being of all our residents,creating purpose and supporting the homeless to help themselves.
  3. To ensure each resident follows the 10 Hour Plus Policy, as they need to fully engage with this project.
  4. To ensure the health, safety, security and operational ability of the building and its residents.
  5. Helping to maintain a positive and vibrant Christian culture.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

1. Experience of working in a supported housing or social care setting is preferred.
2. Comfortable working within a Christian environment and respectful of its beliefs.
3. Experience of working with adults with support needs preferred.
4. Successful enhanced DBS disclosure is essential for this role.
5. The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
6. The ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Applicants will be expected to be punctual, considerate to others and liaise with relevant agencies when required. The successful candidate will attend office meetings throughout the year. You will receive a staff induction and clear guidance on the role.
