Abigail Housing is a shelter for those fleeing persecution abroad. A west Yorkshire-based charitable company dedicated to providing housing to people made homeless at the end of the asylum process. This includes those who have been refused but cannot reasonably return to their country of origin and those given refugee status who have to leave their NASS housing. Since Abigail Housing was founded in 2007 it has grown and developed, now not only housing refused asylum seekers but refugees who are in danger of becoming homeless when they receive their Leave to remain in the UK and their Home Office, Section 95 support stops.

They held a vision meeting in July 2012 and out of this Lifeline Harrogate was formed and many people came forward to volunteer. They held a vision meeting in July 2012 and out of this Lifeline Harrogate was formed and many people came forward to volunteer. Great things have happened as Lifeline have supported people and many lives have been changed and saved. They give God all the glory!

The areas our church is now based are wards that are high in child poverty, drug misuse and teenage pregnancy. We want to love our communities and have organised ad hoc housing arrangements over the last two years which have helped individuals immensely, but very much like the Green Pastures beginnings, we see the need to do this in a more organised and sustainable manner.

They held a vision meeting in July 2012 and out of this Lifeline Harrogate was formed and many people came forward to volunteer. Great things have happened as Lifeline have supported people and many lives have been changed and saved. They give God all the glory!
