Moved on into
independent living

Believers from the church of Stockton on Tees felt the Lord call them to pioneer a Missional Community onto Hartington Road, Stockton on Tees. The house is occupied by 4-6 Christians who live as a family on mission together. The team are seeking to bring the love, power and truth of Jesus to their street.

Achieved to Date

Currently, the property is being refurbished. There's a lot to do! But God has been good and we trust we'll be moving in soon.

Why we do this

We believe that Jesus is the hope of the world, and so, He is the hope for this street. Our desire is to see lives transformed as they encounter the love of Jesus.

Future Plans

After we've moved in, our aim over the first six months will be to build relationships on the street and to serve however we can.

green pastures review

Stockton Baptist Church is vibrant, growing church in Stockton-On-Tees which welcomes everyone no matter what their background, faith or experience. Community is important to them. They invest lots of time in developing resources and activities that bring people together, allowing them to share life together and grow in their faith. Out of this profound sense of the desire to create community Matty Steel, the associate pastor, and his wife Jess have formed a missional community to go out and live in one of the most difficult neighbourhoods in the town to bring hope and light to an area that desperately needs it. Green Pastures are delighted that we could help in this incredible venture by buying them a house and supporting them to make this dream possible. We are excited about the changes that will take place and are praying for their success.
