Overview

Society Support was set up in 2016, the team came together from a variety of backgrounds, with the one aim – of assisting vulnerable adults to settle in good quality accommodation, enhancing their life skills and personal development to create more sustainable housing options for them integrating them back into our communities.

Achieved to Date

We currently have 2 bed spaces with GP after getting our first property on the 15th Feb 2016 we have grown to 52 bed spaces including 10 bed spaces for domestic violence at our new project The Woodlands. We empower and enable our residents to fulfill their potential. We see remarkable transformations in people's lives as we support and care for them, provide training for life skills, education and improve employment potential. We assist people from supported housing to move on accommodation when they are ready.

Why We do this

We believe that every individual matters and is worth more than the difficulties they find themselves in during difficult periods of their lives.

Future Plans

We are currently in the process of acquiring 11 new bed spaces and looking for a Community Hub to provide training and life skills and in line of trying to set up a charity. We continue to pray that God will bless the work we are all doing with Green Pastures and those in need.

green pastures review

Jason Moore approached GP in 2015 because he could see through his work in the care sector that there were many homeless people in Wigan languishing in hostels and needing a route out into independent living. It was recognised that an immediate leap into their own tenancy was too much for them and so they needed a stepping stone that a supported house could provide. GP had some Wigan properties that they had acquired for a previous partner that they could now re-assign to Society Support. Society Support has since grown considerably. Jason has worked tirelessly to build the company up to where it is today.
