Overview

Our Outreach Group supports those in our communities who are in most need providing inclusive services respecting everyone whatever their background, beliefs or situation. Our Christian faith is at the heart of the ethos and motivations of all our Outreach services. Our housing project is starting by addressing our concern for refugees who have been given the ‘right to remain’ in the UK and who are at risk of homelessness. Our aim is to provide accommodation and to support refugees to settle and create a new life in this country.

Achieved to Date

Our first Green Pastures property is pending.

Why We Do This

We are passionate about our plan to provide accommodation for new refugees. Our research in Gateshead highlighted that this is a gap in homelessness provision.

Future Plans

We would like to make a significant difference in Gateshead and act as a pilot project for our Diocese and other dioceses in the country.

green pastures review

This amazingly motivated, big-hearted, and diligent team are getting ready to run their first house. They bring a lot of experience either supporting refugees or homeless people in their communities, or through lived experience themselves. We are truly excited to be walking with them on this journey!
