We want to see the homeless housed and those who feel they have no place in their community find one. We also hope that local churches will continue to work with NEWway in this new partnership and feel inspired to do the same, meaning more homeless people housed and more people finding purpose, knowing they belong and re-establishing momentum in their lives towards employment and independence.
Our first Green Pastures house is pending.
Inspired by the passages in Isaiah 58, we started a church-led, winter night shelter (NEWdawn) and grew to a day centre (NEWday), now commissioned to offer wrap-around support along with a gardening social enterprise (NEWlife). The NEWway house will be where the residents receive wrap around support and pastoral care but most importantly they can see how they belong and have purpose not only in a community but also in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Our goal at NEWway is to provide the homeless in Newham a home, wrap around support where they can improve their circumstances, training for long term tenancy sustainment and a place of purpose and belonging.
