Overview

The Communities of Hope Hartlepool team was formed in summer 2020, as a Diocese of Durham initiative to bring hope and transformation, both spiritually and physically, in the town. This builds on the amazing work of St Aidan's Kitchen, a weekly food drop-in feeding over 100 people each week.

Why We Do This

We believe that the provision of housing and support to the most vulnerable will make a powerful demonstration of God’s love in action.

Future Plans

The long-term goal is to have St Aidan’s House providing bed spaces for those in need of more intensive support, with a view to having a number of smaller move on properties. We would like to be able to provide good quality and safe housing as sadly this is lacking in the area. We would like to see homelessness eradicated in the town.

green pastures review

Communities of Hope Hartlepool are an exceptional project with an outward focus and care for the community. We are so impressed by their care and passion and it is a pure joy to work alongside Emma and the team in planning for the future! We are looking forward to supporting them in continued growth and to see them transform lives for the glory of God. We have no doubt they will play a pivotal role in ending homelessness in the UK!
