Grace House is a new ministry of Amazing Grace Spaces. They specialise in emergency and innovative accommodation for street homeless people, but this is there first house of multiple occupation. They have increasingly been involved in the lives of street sex workers in Newport and have a special link with the women’s prison HMP Eastwood Park. They have had an increasing desire to do more for the women with whom they built relationships. The result is a beautifully renovated six-bedroom house to surround women with a complete package of wrap-around support.
We have transformed our first Green Pastures house by gutting it and renovating it into a welcoming home. Four of the bedrooms are currently in use with the other two coming on stream soon. We have a varied programme of purposeful activity for the women so that their lives are full and enriched.
Driven by a love for the Lord Jesus and a desire to serve him by reaching out to vulnerable women and offering them hospitality and support. Our Values are: Dignity - We will demonstrate genuine respect. Compassion - We have understanding and will create a compassionate community to support you in a non judgemental way. Faith - We will show moderation, love, mercy forgiveness, restoration and grace. Safety - We will help keep the homeless safe and foster stability in their lives. Opportunity - We will work with those in crisis and develop new opportunities for people to realise their potential.
The need is great, so we hope to be able to open more houses.
